Diagnostics and repair of car air conditioners

Air conditioning loses up to 10–15% of its refrigerant a year — that's normal, which is why a service every 1–2 years makes sense, rather than waiting until it stops cooling. Here's how it works with us: we measure the vent temperature, run a leak test, recover the old refrigerant, pull a vacuum and refill the system by weight — exactly as much as the manufacturer specifies. Both underfilling and overfilling damage the compressor.

If the system is leaking, we find the leak first — refilling a leaky system is money thrown away, and we won't do it without talking to you. We also repair the hardware: compressors, blower and heating controls. You get the estimate online before any repair.

Unpleasant smell from the vents? That's usually mould on the evaporator — system disinfection and a fresh cabin filter help. Mention it when booking online and we'll take a look.

Worth knowing about A/C service:
Service every 1–2 years
Losing some refrigerant is normal, not a fault. Regular servicing protects the compressor — the most expensive part of the system — because the refrigerant carries the oil that lubricates it.

Leak test first, refill second
If the gas escaped quickly, there's a leak somewhere. Refilling without finding the cause is money gone in a few weeks — so we always start with a leak test.

R134a or R1234yf?
We service both refrigerants. Cars homologated from 2017 usually run on R1234yf — it's considerably more expensive, so we bill it fairly by weight: 250 zł for connection, leak test and vacuum + 100 zł per 100 g of refrigerant. Give us your car's year when booking.

Why the price range for refilling?
The price depends on system capacity and the amount of refrigerant — that's why we fill by weight and confirm the exact amount after checking the system, before we start.

Smell from the vents = evaporator
Moisture on the evaporator is perfect for mould and bacteria. System disinfection and a new cabin filter help — an air freshener masks the problem for a week.

Run the A/C in winter too
A few minutes once a week keeps the compressor seals lubricated — and clears fogged-up windows faster.
